Qualification and age rules

The 1 January 2025 corrigendum sets specialty-specific medical qualifications. Examples include MD/DNB in General Medicine, MS/DNB in General Surgery and DM/DNB in Cardiology. Broad-specialty posts have the stated senior-residency experience requirement, and equivalence/transition provisions must be read in full. A generic master’s degree plus NET is not the rule for these medical posts.

The base notice uses an upper age below 37 years on 1 January 2026, with 42 for posts whose minimum qualification is DM/MCh, subject to the specific relaxations and amended provisions. It is not a universal “37 to 42 years” eligibility band.

Application, pay and selection record

The original application window is closed. The base advertisement specifies Pay Matrix Level L-16 with grade pay ₹6,600 and a probation-period fixed-pay condition. This is not an in-hand salary quotation. Selection and scrutiny must follow the advertisement, specialty rules and later notices; do not copy an unverified 150-question scheme from another recruitment.

Do not mix Medical and College Education

This page covers the medical recruitment. Medical Education and College Education are separate recruitments with different qualification rules. For College Education status use the separate College Education guide.

The interview dates are for the named specialty only. Match the advertisement, specialty and phase in your own letter. A result for one specialty does not mean every specialty has completed selection.

Official documents and candidate action

Read the original advertisement with the 1 January corrigendum and any specialty-specific later amendment. The 10 February 2025 corrigendum on the same record page concerns advertisement 18/2024-25, so it must not automatically be applied to advertisement 23/2024-25.

Planning for the 2026–27 session

For this ongoing process, follow the latest post/subject-specific notice and personal communication. A later recruitment must have its own advertisement; this guide does not invent a new application window or copy previous eligibility cut-offs into a future cycle. Keep preparation resources separate from stage-specific candidature instructions.
