Read the official batch advertisement for the exact birth-date range, examination fee and batch-specific conditions. A batch year and INET examination year need not be the same.
MR eligibility: education and age
The Navy’s MR career page specifies matriculation with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognised school board. It also permits candidates awaiting Class 10 results subject to the other eligibility conditions and production of the required original marksheet at Stage II. An internet printout is not a substitute for that original document.
The general career page currently displays an enrolment age range of 17½–22 years. Check the exact dates of birth in your batch advertisement: a general age description alone is insufficient to decide eligibility.
Physical fitness standards
The official selection page lists the following PFT standards. Confirm any batch-specific amendment before reporting.
| Test | Male | Female |
|---|---|---|
| 1.6 km run | 6 minutes 30 seconds | 8 minutes |
| Squats | 20 | 15 |
| Push-ups | 15 | 10 |
| Bent-knee sit-ups | 15 | 10 |

Frequently asked questions
Is the INET 2026 application open?
The official application event is marked closed at this review. A registration or login button remaining on the site does not establish a new application window.
Does a Stage II call-up mean final selection?
No. It is an invitation to the specified recruitment stage; the remaining selection conditions still apply.
