RRB JE Application Form 2026: Submission, Fees and Records

Understand the original RRB JE 2026 application timetable, uploads, examination fees, modification rules and records to retain.

At a glance

The original CEN 04/2026 application period ran from 14 August to 13 September 2026. This page focuses on the submission process and retained application records. Use the eligibility guide for age, qualifications and post suitability.

Original application timetable

Dates in the detailed CEN
StepNotified date
Online application14 August–13 September 2026, closing 23:59
Fee payment for submitted applications15 September 2026
Modification window16–25 September 2026
Eligible scribe details26–30 September 2026

These periods have passed. An account login or a payment-information page remaining accessible is not evidence that fresh applications are open. Subsequent amendments must be read with the detailed CEN.

Account and application are different

An existing RRB account identifies the candidate; it does not by itself establish a completed CEN 04/2026 application. Save the submitted form for this CEN and check the chosen RRB, post preferences and examination group. The notification warns against multiple applications contrary to its rules.

Uploads and preview checks

The notice describes live-photo capture and mandatory scanned documents. Follow the specifications for signature and applicable certificates. Check the preview before submission, especially name, date of birth, category, qualification and preference information. Use the declaration and upload requirements for this CEN rather than an old sample.

Fee and modification rules

The general examination fee is ₹500; the notice provides a ₹250 fee for the specified concession categories. Refund provisions depend on attending CBT 1 and the applicable deductions and conditions. The modification charge is ₹250 per occasion and is non-refundable. A modification fee and an examination fee are different payments.

Some account details and the chosen RRB are excluded from ordinary modification under the detailed notice. Do not assume every field can be corrected after submission.

Records registered candidates should retain

  • Submitted application and registration reference.
  • Payment acknowledgement and refund-account details supplied.
  • Copies of uploaded evidence and the preference order.
  • Official application-status communications.
  • Any amendment or helpdesk response affecting the application.
