Which vacancy table should you read?
Use the Office Assistant annexure rather than combining all RRB officer and assistant posts. The revised table is organised by participating bank and category. Match the bank’s local-language requirement with your circumstances before interpreting a vacancy as an option available to you. An indicative vacancy is not a guaranteed job or branch allocation.
Qualification and language requirements
Office Assistant applicants need the degree requirement and prescribed local-language proficiency. Computer knowledge is desirable. The notification recognises specified evidence of language study and sets out the permitted arrangements for selected candidates to acquire proficiency; read the full clause if this affects you.
The ordinary age range differs from Officer Scale I. Reservation-based relaxation is conditional on the notification and supporting documents. The registration extension retained the other notification terms, including the separately stated qualification cut-off.
How the examinations differ from PO
The preliminary tests are Reasoning and Numerical Ability. Each contains 40 questions carrying 40 marks; the section times are 25 and 20 minutes respectively. Main-stage study also covers General Awareness, Computer Knowledge and either English or Hindi.
Office Assistant recruitment does not use the officer interview route. Focus your plan on the notified examinations and documentary checks instead of buying interview preparation solely because an unrelated PO guide includes it. The main-exam date falls in 2027, but the recruitment remains CRP RRBs XV.
Fees and application records
The prescribed assistant fee is ₹175 for SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/DESM candidates and ₹850 for other applicants, inclusive of GST. Applicable bank charges are additional. New registration is closed. Save the completed form, registration details and fee receipt for later reference.
Preparation priorities
- Diagnose whether errors come from weak concepts or slow numerical work.
- Practise each preliminary subject within its own time limit.
- Prepare main-stage language and awareness work alongside prelims.
- Keep the assistant calendar separate from Officer Scale I dates.
Frequently asked questions
Does “RRB Clerk” mean a railway job? No. These RRBs are Regional Rural Banks.
Is a 2027 main exam a separate application? It belongs to the XV process in the calendar; the date alone does not create a new registration.
