Latest syllabus and paper pattern
Detailed guide: RRB Technician Syllabus 2026: Grade I Signal and Grade III
Grade I Signal and Grade III have different current syllabus requirements. Use the current Technician CEN and the applicable grade’s official syllabus; the Grade I paper below is not a universal paper for every technician trade. Keep the file’s original year and response-sheet provenance visible.
Previous practice PDF
Open the previous Technician Grade I-labelled PDF (provenance unverified). The upload folder says 2026, but that is not the examination year. Do not relabel this 2024-named file as a 2026 paper.
Grade I and Grade III are different
Choose the exact Technician post and CEN before using a paper. A Grade I Signal practice file cannot be treated as a complete Grade III trade or syllabus resource. Read the current notification for the applicable subjects, timing, qualifications and marking conditions.
Response-sheet and answer-key cautions
A candidate’s selected option and the official correct option are different fields in a response sheet. Check the legend rather than assuming every marked answer is correct. This local file is not certified as the final answer key for a current recruitment.
Practice workflow
Use the relevant questions for concept revision, note weak topics and practise a fresh timed set under the current scheme. Check official RRB notices for any response-viewing or objection window; those facilities are time-limited and an old PDF does not reopen them.
A practical weekly paper routine
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| First sitting | Attempt the paper or relevant sections without solutions; use timing appropriate to the source paper |
| Same-day review | Separate knowledge gaps, misreading, calculation mistakes and unanswered questions |
| Targeted revision | Return to the official syllabus topic and practise similar questions |
| Repeat check | Reattempt the missed questions after a gap and compare accuracy, not just total attempts |

Frequently asked questions
Are old papers useful for the current session?
Yes, for relevant topics and question practice. Compare their scheme with the latest official notice before using them as full mocks.
Are all downloadable copies official originals?
No. Follow the provenance label next to each file. Local or memory-based copies are not certified as official originals.
Should I change an old paper’s year to 2026?
No. The article supports current preparation, while the paper retains its real examination year.
