Reasoning preparation
Build accuracy in inequalities, syllogisms, direction and distance, blood relations, coding and ordering before combining them into timed sets. Practise seating arrangements and puzzles with a clear notation system. After each set, identify whether the problem was interpreting a condition, making an invalid assumption or running out of time.
Numerical Ability and Quantitative Aptitude
Office Assistant uses Numerical Ability; Officer Scale I uses Quantitative Aptitude. A practical foundation includes number operations, fractions, percentages, ratio, averages, profit and loss, interest, time and work, speed and distance, and data interpretation. Move from worked examples to mixed questions so you can recognise the method without a chapter label.
Main-stage language work
Choose the language option relevant to your application and practise comprehension, vocabulary in context and sentence-level accuracy. Review why an option is wrong instead of memorising an answer key. A short daily reading and correction routine is easier to sustain than postponing all language work until after prelims.
General Awareness and banking context
Organise revision around current events, banking terminology, the financial system and relevant economic developments. Keep the event date with each note. Do not treat a predicted current-affairs window or a coaching question list as a binding limit on what the examination can ask.
Computer Knowledge
Revise basic hardware and software, operating systems, files, common office applications, internet concepts, networking fundamentals and digital security. Test whether you can distinguish similar terms and apply a concept in a simple example, rather than only recalling a definition.
Turn the checklist into a weekly plan
- Take a diagnostic test aligned with your cadre.
- Select two or three weak topic areas for focused practice.
- Maintain an error log with a reason and a reattempt date.
- Reserve regular time for language, awareness and computer revision.
- Use section timing when moving from learning to mock practice.
What this guide does not promise
There is no guaranteed chapter-wise question allocation in this preparation checklist. Officer Scale II specialist requirements and Scale III preparation need their own notification-specific plan. The marks, number of questions and section durations belong in the separate exam-pattern guide.
