Basic pay is not in-hand salary

₹35,400 is the lower basic-pay figure for the listed level; ₹1,12,400 is the upper figure in its pay range. It is not the starting salary of every new appointee. Gross pay includes admissible allowances and take-home pay reflects applicable deductions.

Posting, accommodation and the employee’s circumstances affect the actual calculation. This guide does not reproduce unsourced DA/HRA rates, claim a fixed city-wise net salary or add a speculative future pay-commission increase. Use the appointing force/department’s applicable orders and appointment documents.

What to compare beyond pay

Delhi Police, CAPF SI(GD) and CISF Fire are distinct posts even though they share a pay level. Qualification, age, physical standards, duties and posting implications can differ. CISF Fire is male-only in this notice and has a separate qualification route; do not treat the salary table as proof of eligibility.

Before expressing preferences, match the exact post and force to your qualification and requirements. See the eligibility guide and the official post tables.

Vacancies and career progression

The opening vacancy tables list 205 Delhi Police male, 112 Delhi Police female, 1,320 CAPF SI(GD) and 234 CISF Fire vacancies: 1,871 in total. These are tentative and do not establish a final appointment count. A vacancy revision does not by itself change the pay level.

Promotion speed and future pay progression depend on the relevant service rules and circumstances. The recruitment notification does not promise automatic promotion after a fixed number of years.
