What is new?
The current Careers register has a marks entry for advertisement /18. The older /03 process must not be used as its result or call-letter source. A 2026 registration date does not require changing the bank’s official advertisement number.

Vacancies and posts
The advertisement lists 2,050 regular and 223 backlog CBO positions, subject to its circle/category tables and revisions. Horizontal reservations are not additional positions to add again.

The bank screens whether the experience/job profile substantially matches the relevant Scale I generalist officer role. The chosen circle’s language condition also applies. Read the complete notice before treating general banking experience as qualifying.

The application window is closed. Retain your submitted form and official correspondence. For candidature questions, use SBI Careers and the contact route in the advertisement; do not send credentials to a third-party admit-card service.

The notice specifies no penalty for wrong objective answers. Do not import the PO negative-marking rule.
Syllabus and preparation
Use the stated test subjects and current official handout. Practice banking concepts, economic awareness, computer aptitude and English comprehension alongside timed letter/essay writing. These study priorities are editorial suggestions.
Selection and marks
Online test, experience screening and interview are followed by applicable local-language and eligibility checks. Final merit uses online-test and interview scores in a 75:25 weight. Read the correct circle/category result and all conditions; availability of marks alone does not establish appointment.
Salary
Starting basic pay is ₹48,480 in the notified scale, with the specified advance increments for eligible experience. Allowances and deductions make net pay different from basic pay.
