Notification and exact birth-date condition

Section 3(b), printed page 7 of the official NDA/NA II 2026 PDF reviewed here, states a birth-date window of 1 January 2008 to 1 January 2011, inclusive, for unmarried male/female candidates. Use the linked document and any subsequent UPSC clarification; this page does not replace that exact wording with a generic age estimate.

The accepted date must match the prescribed school certificate. Do not calculate eligibility using only age on the application date or copy another examination session’s birth-date window.

Class 12 qualification by wing

The notification sets 10 June 2027 as the proof-of-passing deadline for candidates using the Class 12 appearing concession. It gives different handling instructions depending on whether originals were verified at SSB; follow those instructions and later official correspondence.

Nationality, marital status and fitness

The notice covers Indian citizens, subjects of Nepal and specified persons of Indian origin; eligibility-certificate conditions and the exception for Gorkha subjects of Nepal are set out in section 3. Candidates must satisfy the unmarried-status and training-related marriage conditions. The physical and medical standards are in Appendix III and depend on the relevant service.

Do not use a height-only online chart to decide medical fitness. An application acknowledgment, written score or SSB recommendation does not waive medical or document requirements.

Read subsequent official amendments and your candidate-specific instructions. A shortlist or provisional allotment does not by itself establish appointment. No unannounced 2027 recruitment facts are inferred.

Frequently asked questions

Can an arts-stream Class 12 candidate seek the Army wing?

The cited Army-wing education rule requires Class 12/equivalent without the PCM requirement specified for the other listed wings, subject to every other eligibility condition.

Can a Class 11 student use the appearing concession?

No. The notice expressly excludes candidates appearing in Class 11.

Should I use a generic age calculator?

Check the exact birth-date window in the official notice for the relevant session; a rounded age label can be misleading.
