RRB NTPC City Intimation Slip: Exam City, Date and Travel Planning

Understand NTPC city slips, release arrangements, travel planning and why the city-intimation document is different from an admit card.

At a glance

The NTPC city-intimation slip tells a candidate where and when the specified test is planned. Its purpose is advance planning. Admission to the test requires the separate e-call letter and the documents listed in the examination instructions.

What the city slip is for

Use the city and date to estimate travel time and accommodation needs. Keep the recruitment number with the information: Graduate CEN 06/2025 and Undergraduate CEN 07/2025 are not the same application. Avoid making arrangements from another candidate’s slip or a screenshot circulating in a group.

When the information is released

The cited RRB schedules describe city/date information around ten days before the examination and call letters four days before the individual exam date. Read the notice attached to your own stage. Those intervals do not prove that a previous cycle’s login remains available today.

How to check your information

  • Open the official website of the RRB handling your application.
  • Locate the matching CEN and stage.
  • Use its city-intimation link and the candidate details requested there.
  • Record the city and date, then return separately for the e-call letter.
  • Check later official notices before travelling if a rescheduling affects your centre.

Travel authority and changes

The official notices mention the travel-authority facility for eligible SC/ST candidates. Eligibility and use depend on the notice and the document issued; do not assume every candidate receives a travel concession. A request to change a city is also different from an official rescheduling notice. Use only the channel and conditions specified by RRB.

Avoid a common planning mistake

The advance city information does not replace the final venue address and reporting instructions. When the call letter becomes available, revisit the route and arrival plan using its full address. Allow for local travel rather than planning solely around arrival in the city.
