Read a result notice correctly
Secunderabad’s CEN 06/2025 CBT 1 result is a useful example: it provisionally shortlists candidates for CBT 2 and says the listed roll numbers are in numerical order, not merit order. That document establishes qualification for the stated next stage; it does not establish a final railway appointment.
Result, scorecard and cut-off
| Record | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Shortlist PDF | Whether listed candidates progress to the named stage |
| Individual scorecard | The candidate’s marks and qualifying information during the official access period |
| Cut-off notice | Stage/category-specific thresholds published by the relevant RRB |
| Panel or appointment communication | A later outcome with its own conditions and checks |
How to check your result
- Use the RRB named in your application.
- Match the recruitment number and stage in the PDF heading.
- Search your full roll number, then verify it visually.
- Read the next-stage and provisional-candidature instructions.
- Use the separate official scorecard login if you need individual marks.
After shortlisting
Prepare for the next stage named in the notice. Depending on the post and stage, this may involve another CBT, the applicable skill or aptitude test, document verification or medical examination. Do not substitute another post’s selection route for your own. Retain the result notice alongside the relevant call letter and document instructions.
Why a result may not appear in one place
Regional recruitment pages can publish separate notices and lists. Absence from one RRB’s PDF says nothing about an application handled by another board. Similarly, a scorecard login can close after its access period even though a public shortlist remains downloadable. This page does not claim that a June shortlist is the latest stage for every candidate.
Comparing cut-offs responsibly
Compare only the same CEN, RRB, post/category and stage. A qualifying percentage in the notification is not a competitive cut-off. Avoid deriving your chance of appointment from an unrelated region’s score or an unofficial predicted threshold.
