Application process and fees

Fresh applications for this advertisement have closed. The notification’s fee was ₹750 for UR/EWS/OBC and nil for SC/ST/PwBD. Preserve the final submitted form and payment confirmation. Do not treat a call-letter login as an application form or assume withdrawal, late registration or a correction facility is available without a specific SBI notice.

Never send personal banking or identity documents to a coaching enquiry form as a substitute for the bank’s process.

The notification specifies no sectional prelims cut-off; shortlisting is based on aggregate category-wise merit, ordinarily approximately ten times vacancies.

Reasoning and Computer Aptitude406050 minutes
Data Analysis and Interpretation306045 minutes
General Awareness/Economy/Banking606045 minutes
English Language402040 minutes
Total170200180 minutes

The main descriptive test adds three tasks, 30 marks and 30 minutes: an email, situation analysis, and either report or précis writing from the stated choices. The full main examination is 230 marks over 3 hours 30 minutes. Main sectional minima include each objective section and the descriptive paper. Objective wrong answers lose one-quarter of the marks assigned; blanks have no penalty.

Prepare the named sections in the official pattern: English, quantitative aptitude and reasoning for prelims; reasoning/computer aptitude, data analysis/interpretation, general/economy/banking awareness and English for mains. The descriptive component requires written practice in the advertised task formats, not only MCQs.

Selection process

Selection comprises prelims; main objective and descriptive tests; and psychometric test, group exercise and interview. Prelims marks do not enter final merit. Main and Phase III contributions are weighted 75:25 under the notice. A preliminary result is not a final appointment offer.

Salary and job profile

Starting basic pay is ₹48,480 with four advance increments under the advertisement’s scale. This is not net take-home pay. The PO role involves probation, training and banking responsibilities under SBI’s service conditions.
