At a glance

Source review: 6 October 2026. The facts below are checked against SSC’s 2026 notification and the later notices specifically linked. A recruitment year is not changed merely because a result or examination falls in another calendar year.

SSC CGL 2026 application status: the notification’s application, fee and correction windows have passed. This is a record of the 2026 process and a guide to checking your submitted application; it is not an active “apply now” invitation.

Fee and exemptions

The application fee was ₹100. Women, SC, ST, PwBD and ESM candidates eligible for reservation were exempt under paragraph 10. OBC or EWS status alone was not listed as a fee exemption. The payment deadline did not extend the application deadline.

The notice says a non-exempt application can remain incomplete if SSC has not received the fee. Candidates can check payment status through the official login. This guide cannot reopen payment or guarantee acceptance of an incomplete application.

How the online process worked

  1. Use the current SSC portal or the official mySSC route named in the notice.
  2. Complete One-Time Registration and select the correct CGL examination.
  3. Enter personal, category, educational and post-related information matching documentary evidence.
  4. Follow live-photograph, signature and disability-document instructions applicable to the candidate.
  5. Preview the completed form, submit within the window and pay the fee if required.
  6. Keep the application and transaction/correction acknowledgements.

These steps describe the published 2026 process. They do not mean that registration remains open on the review date. Use SSC’s official website for your submitted form and any later notice.

Correction rules and charges

The notice allowed correction and resubmission at most twice during the stated window. The first correction carried a ₹200 charge and the second ₹500, applicable irrespective of gender/category. Only applications completed, with applicable fees received, within the original period were eligible. The correction window was not a new registration period.

Documents and qualification cut-off

The essential qualification and age reference date is 1 August 2026, which differs from the June application deadline. Check the post-wise eligibility guide, including JSO, Statistical Investigator and State Cadre language requirements. Keep original evidence supporting each claim.

The notice asks candidates to retain application and relevant examination records for at least three years. Use official contact channels for a query; do not post application numbers, identity documents, passwords or OTPs publicly.
